WELCOME!
You have found the right place. Before you scroll, please feel free to introduce yourself in our Introductions Community Tab! This is how we take this from a group into an actual community. Please tell us: - Your name and your dog’s name - What you’re working on...or want to start: rally-obedience, obedience, agility, or “I have no idea yet” - What your biggest current challenge is. Zero pressure and zero perfect pictures...just some real starting points on where you're at right now. A couple things to know: This isn’t a lurk-and-leave kind of community. You’ll get the most out of this if you show up, ask questions, and actually work your dog. There’s no gatekeeping here. THERE ARE NO DUMB QUESTIONS!. If you’re new to dog sports—you’re welcome here.If you’ve been doing this for years—you’re still more than welcome here. We’re all about building up dog and handler teams...that’s the goal. Now feel free to jump in 👇 I want to meet both you and your dog.

Meet the Springer Siblings
Jones who is four and Gracie who is two are half siblings and share the same father. They are definitely a deviation from the Rottweilers I worked for almost close to 20 years. Jones is currently recovering from a TPLO surgery because he is a wild man with zero self preservation. His agility career won't be anything more than just playing around in the backyard with low jumps. But I am planning on continuing his performance dog journey with Rally and possibly competitive obedience. Gracie may be the most challenging dog I have owned to date. Besides being my first female dog, she doesn't have the confidence that her brother has or my Rottweilers had. She is more reserved and has some fear issues. Gracie has done some very basic UKI agility but had a self inflicted teeter incident that scared her half to death right before she turned one. She has been struggling with agility in general since then. She had some time off this past fall and winter and we are started to try some different training methodology to help her come out of her shell and to learn that training and dog sports are fun. This will be a journey with her and I'll let it unfold on here. Every dog is in your life to teach you something...Gracie is in my life to definitely teach me about dog training in a way I haven't before. So, I hope you find our training path helpful and interesting.

Meet Ocean - My Soul Dog
Ocean was not the dog I was looking for but he was the dog that I was supposed to have. He and Lars were cousins but they were so different. Ocean was my thinker, he had drive that he was very task focused. He was from primarily schutzhund lines and though I didn't work dogs in that sport, agility was the next best thing for him. He was the 4th Rottweiler ever to earn a USDAA PDCH which is their Performance Dog Agility Championship title in 2020. He and I went to USDAA's Cynosport Games in Tennessee in 2019 and was one of two Rottweilers there in a sea of herding breeds. There he made it to Steeplechase Semi-finals and placed in the Teams classes. Ocean took me places I only dreamed about in dog agility...he was a legend in the New England Agility community. Again, he taught me so much about the sport and I miss him dearly.

Meet Lars - My Heart Dog
Lars was my heart dog and who I learned so much from. He was super high drive and working him was like riding a lightning bolt. He excelled in competitive obedience and Lars was a dog that would never say no, I cannot do this. He said HELL YEAH every time we walked into an obedience ring. Lars earned multiple high in trials in different venues of obedience and his enthusiasm was absolutely a blast to work with. Rally was another sport Lars and I did quite a bit and he earned his RAE while he was learning Utility Obedience (Rally Master and the RACH wasn't a thing back then.) Lars did some agility but his drive was a little bit too much for the agility ring. LOL I miss this dog so so much and I am forever grateful for what he taught me in dog training and to believe in myself and what I could do with dog sports.
