Today as time was ticking and what started out as a normal busy day for me quickly turned bad vibes and getting rolled by tides. I actually felt a huge energy swing and as I watch the day turn to dust, I thought this can't be my evening ahead. An auction for a foundation that feeds out local hospital was for sure a great place to enjoy friends drinks and fun...... OR NOT. The evening was a dud, the food was sparse, good but sparse. An auction that usually raises $280,000 barley got over the 100K barrier and all I am left to ponder is how to stop this negative vibe before 9 a.m. Pacific time tomorrow when the Ohio State Buckeyes take on the Michigan Wolverines so I can cheer my Buckeyes to a victory for the first time in 5 years or what seems like forever ago since we have beat Michigan. Tomorrow is a new, yesterday is the old. Let it be just that. GO BUCKS!!!!

In pyramid football everyone talks about development tactics and pathways but almost nobody talks about the business skills needed to survive in this industry. Here’s the reality: You can be a brilliant coach but without a business system your income will always be unstable. The coaches who grow scale and attract opportunities consistently have mastered three things: Positioning They don’t try to coach everyone. Visibility In football, the most visible coach often becomes the most booked coach. Not because they’re the best… but because people know who they are. Content Relationships Word of mouth. It all compounds. Football is passion but it’s also a business. And the coaches who understand both sides are the ones who rise through the pyramid faster. I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. Football may be apart of it, but I am thankful for the fun friendships I have made here.
