HOF Game Cardinals vs Panthers is happening in 21 days
🌎 Well... Team USA's World Cup run has come to an end.
It was fun while it lasted. 🇺🇸⚽ Now... it's time to shift our focus back to other football. 🏈 One thing I've really enjoyed during this World Cup—especially with so many matches being played here in the United States—is seeing fans from around the world share their experiences. I've come across countless videos of visitors talking about the food, the people, the culture, and seeing America from a different perspective. It's been pretty awesome. It's a great reminder that sports do more than entertain us. They bring people together. Whether you're cheering for your country in soccer or your favorite NFL team on Sundays, sports create friendships, rivalries, traditions, and memories that last a lifetime. That's exactly what I hope this community becomes, a place where fans from every team can come together to celebrate great football, have some friendly banter, and enjoy the season together. Now... enough fútbol. 🏈 Pre-Season is around the corner. The NFL season is getting closer! Who's ready for kickoff? DBR

🏈 It's July!
That means we're one month closer to football season. 🙌 But before training camps, preseason games, and fantasy football drafts... We've got something else to celebrate. 🇺🇸 America turns 250 years old this July 4th weekend! Whether you're firing up the grill, watching fireworks, spending time with family, traveling, or just enjoying a long weekend, I hope it's a great one. What are your plans for the Fourth of July? Happy Independence Day, and here's to another great football season on the horizon! DBR 🇺🇸🏈

🏈 Why Football Reminds Me of Business
I've always enjoyed football, and I think one reason is that success requires so much execution. A great game isn't won by one spectacular play. It's won because dozens of people consistently do their jobs—blocking, running routes, reading defenses, communicating, adjusting, and executing under pressure. The more I think about it, the more it reminds me of business. Running a business isn't about one big sale or one viral social media post. It's about showing up every day, serving your clients well, following up with leads, managing your finances, improving your systems, and making hundreds of small decisions that add up over time. Football also reminds me that neither business nor life is perfect. There are big wins. There are costly mistakes. There are moments when everything seems to click... ...and moments when you wonder what just happened. But the best football teams—and the best businesses—have something in common. They know how to endure. They don't let one bad play define the game. They learn, adjust, and line up for the next play. Maybe that's why football has always resonated with me. It reminds me of my time as a conductor, too. Everyone has a role to play, and when everyone executes together with discipline and purpose, the result is something much greater than any one individual could accomplish alone. That's how great teams are built. And that's how great businesses are built. DBR P.S. If you didn't know, I own DBR Bookkeeping, which has proudly been a sponsor of this community. Supporting local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community events is something I genuinely enjoy. As we begin thinking about next season, I'm looking forward to finding more ways for local businesses to get involved and continue investing in this amazing community.

🏈 Bills Decide O.J. Simpson Will Not Be Honored at New Stadium
According to ESPN, the Buffalo Bills have announced that O.J. Simpson will not be included among the franchise's legends in the Family Circle area at the new Highmark Stadium. According to the team, the Family Circle is intended to celebrate the Bills' history and serve as a year-round gathering place for fans. While nearly every member of the team's former Wall of Fame will be recognized, Simpson will not be included. On the field, Simpson had one of the greatest careers in Bills history. He was the No. 1 overall pick in 1969, became the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season, and remains a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Off the field, however, his legacy has remained highly controversial for decades following the widely publicized criminal and civil court cases related to the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The Bills' decision reflects that distinction between honoring on-field accomplishments and representing the organization's broader legacy. 🏈 What do you think? Should teams recognize a player's football accomplishments separately from their personal life, or should both be considered when deciding who is honored by a franchise? Let's keep the discussion respectful and hear your perspective. DBR

🏈 Happy Father's Day, Football Fans!
A special shout-out to all the dads out there who have spent countless hours playing, watching, coaching, teaching, and talking football with their kids. For many families, football is more than just a game. It's Sunday afternoons on the couch. It's tossing a football in the backyard. It's attending high school games under the lights. It's cheering for the same team across multiple generations. Some of my favorite football stories aren't about championships or statistics—they're about the memories and traditions that bring families together. The NFL itself has a long history of fathers and sons reaching the professional level, continuing a family legacy through the game. The league highlighted several of these stories in this Father's Day feature: NFL Fathers and Sons Feature Whether your dad taught you how to throw a spiral, took you to your first game, or simply shared a favorite team with you, those memories often last far longer than any season. What's your favorite football memory involving your father, your kids, or your family? DBR
