One of the things that makes the NFL so much fun is how quickly things can change.
According to a recent ESPN article, more than two dozen teams have gone from last place in their division to first place the very next season since the 2002 realignment. Just last year:
๐ The Patriots went from last place in the AFC East to the Super Bowl.
๐ The Bears went from last place to winning the NFC North.
That's a pretty incredible turnaround.
Every year we see a team surprise everyone.
A new quarterback emerges.
A coach finds the right formula.
A few key free-agent signings change everything.
Sometimes all it takes is one breakout season.
Personally, I think a few teams have the potential to make a big jump in 2026.
The Raiders are intriguing if Fernando Mendoza develops quickly.
And there always seems to be a team nobody sees coming.
Which last-place team do YOU think has the best chance to go from worst to first in 2026?
And who's your dark horse team that nobody is talking about?
