Limited Spots Available: Consultation Groups Start In September
Hi there! I'm launching two family therapy groups in September and I'm giving you the Family Systems Collective exclusive heads up to grab your spot if you're interested. The response to the email I sent out to my newsletter audience was a little overwhelming - about 40 people indicated interest in EACH of the groups :/ Despite the demand, I'm starting small and will cap the groups at 8 people. We'll meet twice a month and the cost is $99 for the month, so it's $45 a session, you can cancel any time. You can join here. I'm offering both 9am PST Mondays (starts Sept 14th) and 11am PST Tuesdays (starting Sept 8th), and I've tried to put some of my thoughts together in the video below, which should explain a bit more about what to expect. To sign up you have to join a different community on Skool, the link is below. That will ask you to select which time slot you want to join. Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope to see you in the group, Oliver https://youtu.be/naFURad3u1U https://www.skool.com/group-consultation-tfsc-9215/about

G'day Australia & NZ! Potential New Consultation Group Times
I'm really enjoying the group consultations and wanted to float the idea of another group time that might work for those in different time-zones. I've got a couple of ideas below that may help those down under and wanted to check your interested. This is open to anyone, anywhere obviously, but if I could ask you to please refrain from voting on an option unless this is something you have interest and availability to join so i get an accurate sense of things :) The cost is $99 USD a month, and we'd meet twice a month.

Paradoxical Intervention Framework: Consultation Group Inspiration #3
This week in the consultation call, I was reminded about the times it's useful to know how and when to use paradoxical interventions. When I was in grad school I think they either sounded like a bit of a gimmick or way too complicated to fully grasp. I don't think I can honestly say I fully grasp them, but they are definitely not a gimmick! When you're working with someone with resistance or oppositional traits, I have found them to be very effective. In this video I share some of my experiences using them and the framework that helps you know when to use them. Unfortunately the HOW to use them is so incredibly unique to the case, that it's hard to give direction over a video or text. But if you are very stuck with a teen, tweeen or family, that won't engage in treatment or seems to be oppositional or resistant, that's when consultation groups become helpful. There are a few slots left on my Monday and Tuesday groups - you can shoot me a message here or join the group by clicking this link

Consultation Group #1 - The Two Tools We Discussed
I had so much fun running the first family therapy consultation group yesterday! If you weren't able to join or are curious about what sort of things we cover, I made a recap video. If you're in either of the groups, be sure to check out the 'classroom' I opened that has this video AND some FREE PDF downloads to accompany this. There's till some spots open in the 9am Monday PST group and the 11am Tuesday PST group, and I'd love to have you be part of it - especially if you think the things we discuss are going to be helpful for you and your cases. You can join using the link below, it's $99 for TWO consultation groups - plus you can attend an listen to the other groups - so potentially four sessions a month. https://www.skool.com/group-consultation-tfsc-9215/about
FSXWX #2 - Circular Questioning
If you missed the Circular Questioning Workshop last week, I've got the recap video here. I had to re-record it as the audio was off, so you can tell how fun my weekend was :/ The handout is a little hard to spot on these posts but look to the left of the video thumbnail ---> it's all there. If you want to look at it in the future, it's filed in the 'Workshops' classroom that you should all have access to.
