What is a negative advocate? How do they hurt you?
If you advocate for someone, you must ensure that you are not a negative advocate. If not, you will hurt the very person you want to protect. You'll be just like the local courthouse judge who hurt the very ones they claim to protect! If you are advocating for a type 2 or 3, then you are better off helping behind the scenes in ways that would de-escalate the conflict. How can you best advocate for a type 2 or 3? Discover that in Charlottetown Community Church’s McKenzie Friend training courses, we aim to support the whole family in ways that benefit all involved. P.S.: As you learn about the attached three theories, you’ll begin to fully understand why we don’t make our advanced training public. Why do we guard it? We don’t want it to fall into the wrong hands, which could misuse it to harm people, as it’s too powerful. PPS: Some of our Level 1 courses are open to all who qualify, but gaining access to higher levels will require higher levels of professionalism, diligence and integrity. With great power comes great responsibility. If you are a Type 1 who wants to help yourself and/or others, consider signing up for Charlottetown Community Church training programs. It’s not necessary that you do but I just wanted to give you a glimpse… Imagine how many people you could help with the right tools… Imagine the friends you’ll make… Imagine turning your pain into purpose… When you can find your own reasons for helping others you’ll know where to find us.
