Wednesday Devotional
When your soul feels low, speak hope to yourself.
Psalm 42:11 reminds us that discouragement is not the end of the story. David shows us that even in deep sadness, we can turn our attention back to God and ask, “Why are you cast down, O my soul?” Then he answers with faith: “Hope in God.”
Today, if your heart feels heavy, don’t stay silent in the struggle. Lift your eyes, breathe in God’s faithfulness, and remind your soul that He is still present, still good, and still working.
The Bible talks a lot about depression. Back in those days people had symptoms. Today we call it depression. People kept silent back then and still do today. Elijah wanted God to take his life. King David wrote Psalms. Both stayed silent to everyone, except God.
What is one discouraging thought you need to replace with hope today?
