🙂 Pre-Skool Games vs. 😃 Post-Skool Games
I haven't posted here since the day of the Skool Games. Instead of the Skool News, this week we got the Skool Games Mastermind. I'll just tell you right now, it was REALLY COOL. (The Skool Games AND the Mastermind.) I didn't think I could love Skool any more. But here's what happens... Every time I think I've hit the limit for how much I love Skool: - Another episode of the Skool News comes out - A new feature is released - I meet more nice real humans on here - I go and then MEET the Skool team and see that they are literally exactly as expected IRL: they really freaking care. SO that last thing... GAH... you guys... the Skool team is full of a bunch of Care Bears who are as obsessed with Skool as I am (I would say "even more obsessed than I am", but honestly I just think Skool is the most amazing software that ever existed, especially for creating community). THIS LOVELY VIDEO is from the mastermind with Sam Ovens (CEO of Skool) and Alex Hormozi (Skool investor, amongst other bits of course)... If you click on or go to about 1 hour and 45 minutes in, I got to ask a question AND profess my love for Skool. What a sweet life moment! BUT I recommend watching the whole video...! This was a pretty cool room to be in, to say the least! There's a lot to learn... it's amazing that they share the recording!

😭 Skool News #41 legit made us cry today (recap)
OK... who else cried on Skool News? Sam & Kirby had tissues ready (THEY KNEW!). I just sat here with tears in my eyes but kept on flowing to type up the recap. The "best post ever" below is the one that got us all crying! NEW FEATURE: SPAM RISK SCORE This is already live! (personal note: my main community is freemium, this has been a HUGE help already!!) ROADMAP/IN PROGRESS: - Risk Score is now at V1, more is coming soon. Huzzah! LOVE YOU SKOOL! - Notification improvements. A lot of people complain about notifications. The more groups and interactions, the more notifications. They're working on it tho! - Traffic Sources: Where are people coming from? This is a HUGE project. No one has ever had THIS level of visibility. Working on it for 6 months at this point. Estimated release date is early February. Will even show conversion rates from one source to another! ROADMAP/UP NEXT: - Moderation tools. Will give us the option to auto-approve low-risk members! Also working on SMS confirmation to be able to post in a community (as an OPTION) - Page load speed. The more people who use Skool, the slower it gets. (It's growing fast! "Every two weeks, Skool grows by more than it did in its first four years!" ~Sam) ("The lesson there is just 'don't quit!'" ~Andrew Kirby) ("Inspiring!"~Sam) ("Thanks!"~Kirby) - Languages incoming on Discovery SKOOL OF THE WEEK! (see screenshots) - Gert Leroy with the Underwater Squad - He's super rocking tiers with $3k MRR ($9 entry point + upgrades) - Super cool to see this --> he's got the Skool link EVERYWHERE! - "Gert! What a man!" ~Kirby "BEST POST EVER"(!!!!) (see screenshots) - Shout out to Glyn Dewis (Photography Community + Photography Creative Circle) - His community made this stinkin' amazing video for him. THIS is what made us all cry! FIND IT HERE* (*you must be a member of Skoolers to see this post, but the video is shred inside the YouTube video attached to this post)

Skool News #40: How can I get FREE automatic traffic to my group?
Skool's big goal for this year is making Discovery better and therefore helping us to get FREE automatic traffic to our communities. Skool is so very cool! This post is a recap of what was covered in this week's Skool News, but you can also check out the recording in the attached video. YEAR THEMES: - 2024 -- Hormozi partnership and Skool Games, crazy growth - 2025 -- 10x better, 11x cheaper. Aimed to make it so you could do EVERYTHING you needed to do with your business (native video, tiers, everythinggg) - 2026 -- Discovery! Members! Growth! Making many improvements to Discovery, traffic, search results, etc. AND great analytics so you know where your members are coming from! "Do you guys want that? Do you want more members?" Funny Q from Andrew Kirby, officially the Head of Mullets @Skool WHY ARE WE HEREEE?! - Bringing people together around our passion - Turning out hobby/passion into a full-time income - Skool's mission is to help 1 billion people find community THE BIG PICTURE! Traffic --> Community --> Members --> Income - Most groups start free, then eventually you monetize that gives you MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue). If you know your monthly costs and how much your job pays, then a cool goal is to get the community to cover and pay that. EXAMPLES! - Nate Herk (see the incoming screenshot on this). YouTube w/ Skool link --> free Skool --> paid Skool --> right now $238k/month. "I think it's safe to say he IS full-time" ~Sam 😅. 63% of his traffic is from SKOOL, not from YouTube! WOW! - Kim Thompson-Pinder (screenshot). Circular Machine Knitting Addi group. It's a free (well, freemium!) group. - David Mincey (screenshot) has a metal detecting community! YouTube to Skool. 37% of traffic is from Skool! - Gillian Berry (screenshot) with her raw vegan community. She has an IG ("What's this thing called? Instagram?" ~Sam) and YouTube. YouTube is sending the most traffic, but Skool is too! $5,200 MRR REMEMBER: All the big groups started as small groups! Build a community around passion, drive traffic to it, get members, and monetize it.
