In my decade of personal training, I've realized a few things. 1) a good trainer provides way more assistance than most folks really, truly need. And 2) a good trainer is expensive. So, I set out to provide almost all of the benefits of training, at a fraction of the cost. Here's what I came up with:
1) Accountability. It's harder to skip workouts (and easier to make time for them) when others will notice your absence.
2) Having someone help you make sure you're doing things correctly is huge for most people. And
3) Stress relief. Training is fun and, if not relaxing, mentally healthy, when we do it right.
Then again, 1-1 training is
1) expensive as hell.
2) Extremely useful for people who need a lot of detail, but can be overkill for the rest of us. And
3) provides human access to just one rather than several people.
This is my attempt to provide all of the first three benefits while overcoming all of the three drawbacks. I don't know if it's gonna work, but we're gonna try it.
