You don’t need to take a lot to get the benefits
So many people will hear somebody suggest psychedelics to everybody as a broad statement & they will begin to panic because they will immediately start thinking of taking 4 hits of acid or 4 grams of mushrooms & that is not what I personally mean when I am suggesting people take psychedelics. I am suggesting that people try microdosing first to see how they respond to it. I am not talking about big doses.
You do not need to take a ridiculously high dose in order to get the benefit. If anything, you have to have years & years of experience in microdoses & low doses before you will, at all, be ready to take a big dose. Those big doses are just not for everybody but microdosing is a middle ground between not using psychedelics & using them in big doses.
Taking a large amount of a psychedelic with no prior planning about the set & setting, intentions & being in the right frame of mine before you do it is going to lead to a very negative experience. It will lead to things like dissociation & depersonalization. It can even lead to things like increased anxiety & depression, as well as psychosis because you are not properly preparing for the experience but microdosing is completely different. Instead of dissociating you, it actually pulls you closer to yourself. It helps you to be more present in life.
Microdosing is a sub-perceptual dose, it has a completely different reaction within the system than a big dose would. It will reduce many mental health symptoms instead of increasing them. Microdosing allows you to process that really heavy stuff in a very subtle way that will create positive change in your life over a long period of time. Instead of just diving headfirst into a big experience with no preparation & trying to face it all within a couple of hours. I do agree that this can be a lot for some people, especially people who have been through trauma & struggle with their mental health & it's not something that I recommend to everyone.
I will recommend that most people try microdosing because it is absolutely life-changing & it will benefit each & every single one of us, if we are willing to be open to it.
It is literally just psychedelic medication, it does not give you visual effects, make you trip or get you high. It's about as strong as caffeine or nicotine. It is sub-perceptual. You barely even notice it. Just because you've heard a handful of stories of people taking them improperly or you've heard that it can make issues worse, it doesn't mean that there's something wrong with the medicine & it doesn't mean that people should not try it. It just means that all of these people didn't know what they were doing.
In these situations, it can be very dangerous but when you have proper guidance, someone teaching you how to do it & walking you through the process & helping you understand it, it reduces these risks significantly. Which is exactly why I'm here educating people about this, for harm reduction, so people can actually get the benefit instead of having horrible experiences that just make everything worse.
So if you see me suggesting psychedelics to lots of people, I'm not talking about tripping on a large amount, I’m talking about microdosing at a sub-perceptual level. You barely even notice it, it just alters the way that you perceive & the way that you think about things & it also alters the way that you respond to your emotions & the things that are happening in your life.
I really do believe that it is in most people’s best interest to at least try microdosing. If it doesn't work out, that's fine. How many different medications have you been put on that didn't work but you gave them a try anyway? Why not try microdosing? There are literally studies on how this can benefit people & that it does for people who are literally treatment resistant. Don't knock it until you try it.
Psychedelics can be for a lot of people if they're willing to be informed about different dosage levels & how they respond to those different dosage levels differently. You have to be willing to try it & surrender to the process as it is unfolding. Just like when you get on any type of pharmaceutical, it's not something that happens instantly, it unfolds over weeks & months. Microdosing is the same way & you have to be willing to dedicate yourself to the process. You need to be open & willing to seeing how your physiology response to it. Microdosing is how I would recommend anybody get into psychedelics. I most definitely do not recommend that people just jump head first into a big dose.
