Q5 Model Paragraph
✍️ Q5 Model Paragraph (Description) The street was empty. A cold wind drifted through the air, rattling the broken streetlights as shadows stretched across the pavement. Somewhere in the distance, a door slammed, echoing through the silence. It felt as though the whole place had been abandoned. 💡 Why this works: ✔ Clear imagery ✔ Varied sentence lengths ✔ Strong vocabulary ✔ Builds atmosphere 👉 Notice: - Short opening sentence - Sensory detail (sound + feeling) - No overcomplicated language Try writing your own version 👇

GCSE Tip!
🔥 GCSE English Tip: Start from the BACK of the paper Most students start at Question 1. 👉 Try this instead: Start with Q5 (writing) → then go back to Q1–Q4. 💡 Why? ✔ Q5 is worth 40 marks (the biggest chunk) ✔ You need the most energy and time for it ✔ If you leave it until last, you rush it 👉 Then go back and pick up the easier marks. This one change can make a big difference to your final grade.
