Invitation to Introduce yourself
This is a community where people are invited to speak and communicate about their experiences. Is there something you are interested in? Has it impacted your life? You must have some hobbies or maybe you find something rewarding about your work. I believe in the power of connection. Let me introduce myself. My name is Lukas Hosford. I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have been trained as a debater, I have studied literature, and I have dedicated myself to learning Spanish and German. I am interested in technology, economics, and religion. I study astrology and give people readings. The way I understand it, Astrology is a tool for appreciating the psyche. I am also a poet and artist. I may share art from time to time. I invite you to introduce yourself. Let's connect 🤝

The best way to learn a language is by using it.
What are you interested in talking about? I am interested in teaching English because language itself enchants me. I am a poet. I also have experience learning other languages as an adult. I speak Spanish fluently and German falteringly. English is my mother tongue. When I was learning German, I used an app named Anki (http://apps.ankiweb.net/), which I recommend to anyone learning a language. It offers a quick method to aquire a vast knowledge of vocabulary. Besides vocabulary, learning a language comes down to using it. Media like books, audiobooks, podcasts, and more offer so many opportunities to practice the language in a passive way. AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and more offer opportunities to practice writing. Here I am aiming to offer the ideal compliment to such tools -- a community where the language is used playfully and with care. As members join, we will be having live conversations at times that fit people's schedules. I will be available to read your posts and respond as much as possible.
