What are you interested in talking about? I am interested in teaching English because language itself enchants me. I am a poet. I also have experience learning other languages as an adult. I speak Spanish fluently and German falteringly. English is my mother tongue. When I was learning German, I used an app named Anki (http://apps.ankiweb.net/), which I recommend to anyone learning a language. It offers a quick method to aquire a vast knowledge of vocabulary. Besides vocabulary, learning a language comes down to using it. Media like books, audiobooks, podcasts, and more offer so many opportunities to practice the language in a passive way. AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and more offer opportunities to practice writing. Here I am aiming to offer the ideal compliment to such tools -- a community where the language is used playfully and with care.
