The Hidden Cost of Tension
Most people think being productive means pushing harder.
But often the opposite is true.
The body carries tension long after the reason for it is gone. Tight shoulders. A clenched jaw. Shallow breathing. A nervous system that never fully switches off.
Over time, that tension becomes your “normal.”
The challenge is that tension consumes energy.
Before trying to gain more energy, ask yourself…
How much energy am I losing through unnecessary tension?
Today, take 60 seconds and scan your body.
Relax your jaw.
Drop your shoulders.
Soften your belly.
Take three slow breaths.
Notice how different you feel.
Sometimes progress isn’t about adding something new…
It’s about letting go of what no longer serves you.
Question of the Day:
Where do you notice the most tension in your body right now? Neck, shoulders, chest, stomach, hips, or somewhere else?
