👋 Welcome to the EnduroSchool Community on Skool
There’s something about riding a bike that’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t felt it.
For me, it’s freedom — but not the loud kind. It’s a quiet freedom. A focused freedom. I’ve always struggled with sitting still. With being “normal”. My mind wants to move. My body wants to move. And when those two don’t get aligned, things get noisy. But on a bike… everything clicks. Suddenly my world is reduced to a few meters in front of the front wheel. Roots. Rocks. Traction. Lines. I have to focus — and I have to act. There’s no space for overthinking, only presence. And somehow, in that intensity, I find calm. Calm and excitement at the same time. Riding has become one of the strongest forms of meditation I know. Not sitting still. Not closing my eyes. But being fully alive in motion. I think many riders are like this. More physical than mindful — until the bike turns us mindful without us even trying. I know not everyone is wired like me. Maybe you’re calm by nature. Structured. Analytical. Maybe your days are spent in meetings, behind a screen, inside your head. And maybe riding gives you something different than it gives me. Maybe it’s your escape, your release? Your way to disconnect — or reconnect. That’s one of the things I love about bikes. We can come from completely different worlds, yet find something deeply personal on the same trail. If riding gives you something else — I’d love to hear what that is. Share it in the comments. This feeling is a big part of why we built this school and now a community. Not just to go faster. Not just to race better. But to help people ride more, enjoy more, feel more confident — and feel more alive on the bike. I want to give as much as I can, in as many ways as I can. Through technique. Through structure. Through experience. And sometimes just through perspective. This community isn’t just about training. It’s about the space the bike creates in your life. I’m really happy you’re here. And I’m excited to build this together. //Kimmo Ilvonen Co Founder of Enduroschool
