'Coffee time' is where we can hop on Zoom, chat about training, goals, and just connect. Right now, it's set for 9 AM, but let's make sure it's the best time for YOU!
I used to swim regularly, but now my goal is to get back in the pool once a week to keep my skills sharp. I’m also meeting with a friend who’s just starting to swim for endurance—it’s a great way to combine both our goals and stay motivated together.
For me, I remind myself that getting good at anything takes time. Think about how many times a baby falls before mastering walking—so many! I may not know for sure if I’ll succeed, but I find peace in going to bed knowing I did the best I could that day. That sense of effort helps me manage the fear of uncertainty.
My first two events were a sprint and an Olympic triathlon, and that’s where I learned to tackle all three disciplines. I know a lot about triathlons, but I’m also aware there’s so much left to learn. One thing’s for sure—they’re a blast!
My current running goal is to build up to a 12-hour run for New Year's Eve, something that came to me one day as a personal challenge. I’ve also started running with friends, sharing what I love about endurance sports, and it's made the experience even more meaningful.
