Friday Footprints: The Red Flag We Called Pink
Let’s talk about those moments when life waved a HUGE red flag… …and we said: “Hmmmm… perhaps it’s more of a soft pink?” 😂 We’ve all ignored something we knew deep down wasn’t right. A person. A situation. A business decision. A choice. Or perhaps that very questionable idea we were absolutely convinced would work. Sometimes intuition whispers. Sometimes intuition practically grabs us by the shoulders and shouts, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” And yet… we learn. The beautiful thing about making mistakes is that they can teach us to recognise the signs earlier next time. WEDNESDAY WISDOM You Don't Have to Earn Rest
Sometimes we treat rest as something we have to earn. We tell ourselves we'll rest when the work is finished, when the house is tidy, when everyone else is taken care of or when we've finally achieved everything on our list. But there will always be another task waiting. Self compassion means recognising that you are worthy of rest simply because you are human. You don't have to reach exhaustion before you're allowed to pause. Rest can be part of your spiritual practice. It gives you space to breathe, reconnect with yourself and notice what your mind, body and intuition may be trying to tell you. Today, consider giving yourself permission to stop without guilt. You don't need to be productive every moment to have value. Reflect: What makes it difficult for you to give yourself permission to rest? What would change if you viewed rest as something that supports your growth rather than something that interrupts it?
