Safety Can Start Small
Yesterday, we talked about noticing what keeps your nervous system on high alert.
Today, let’s talk about what safety can actually look like.
Safety does not always mean quitting the job, ending the relationship, or changing everything overnight. Sometimes safety starts much smaller.
It might look like:
  • Giving yourself five quiet minutes before responding
  • Turning off notifications
  • Taking a slower breath
  • Saying, “I need a minute”
  • Stepping outside
  • Letting your body unclench
  • Reaching out to someone who feels steady
Today’s reflection:
What is one small thing that helps your body feel safer or more settled?
It does not have to be impressive. It just has to be real.
