Yesterday a student told me:
“I don’t like how I look in the mirror when I do shines.”
Honestly… I’ve felt the same.
I’ve never watched a video of myself and said, “Wow, perfect.”
But I see this as something positive — it keeps me improving, working on my basics, and growing.
Here’s one tip that changed everything for me:
Dress for the dancer you want to become.
When you go to class or social dance, don’t just wear anything comfortable.
Choose clothes that match the look, style, and energy you want to express — almost like stepping into a role.
When you look the part, you feel the part.
And when you feel the part, you dance with more confidence.
What do you think? Have you felt this too?
