Your body doesn't care what you know
I've had so many conversations with women who have done a LOT of work on themselves. Therapy, journaling, self-help books, courses...
They understand their patterns.
They can trace them back to childhood.
They know exactly why they do what they do 💭
And then life happens, and the old reaction kicks in anyway. 😅
It's not because they're not smart or not trying hard enough. It's because understanding something in your mind and actually shifting it in your nervous system are two completely different things.
The body stores what the mind has long moved on from. It's still running old programs — patterns it learned when it needed them, patterns that kept you safe once upon a time 🌿 — long after you've consciously decided you want something different.
This is why I'm so drawn to body-based practices. Breathwork, somatic work, even the way we move through our mornings — these reach the part of you that the intellect simply can't.
If you've been frustrated with yourself for "knowing better but still doing the same thing" — you're not broken.
You've been trying to fix a body problem with a mind solution.
That's a very normal thing to try. It's just not the whole answer 💛
