Life has been a bit chaotic recently. And I noticed something β the moment I stop pausing, even just for a breath, everything starts to feel heavier. Harder. Like I'm running on empty without even realising it.
And it made me think about how we tend to save mindfulness for the calm moments. Like it's a luxury for when things are already okay.
But honestly? I've found the complete opposite to be true.
It's exactly when everything feels loud and overwhelming and too much β that's when two minutes of just coming back to yourself changes everything. Not because the chaos disappears. But because you don't disappear in it.
Sometimes it's just a few deep breaths in the bathroom. Stepping outside for a minute. Putting my hand on my chest and asking β okay, how am I actually doing right now?
That's it. That's the whole practice some days.
And it's enough. π±
Does this resonate? What do you do to come back to yourself when things get hectic outside? ππ¬
