Happy Tuesday, everyone! This time I would like you to write about the prettiest thing you ever saw. - What was it? - When did you see it? - Why do you think it was pretty? I'm looking forward to reading your answers!
Have you ever been in the London Underground? It's an astounding place. I went there last week and got lost instantly. It is the oldest metro system in the world but it is so. So. Confusing. Watch this interesting video and tell me: - Have you ever been in the London Underground? What did you think? - Do you have a metro system in your country? What is it like?
Todayโs daily challenge is a phrasal verb - Do away withโฆ Here are some examples on how to use this phrasal verb - 1. I need to do away with working while Iโm sick otherwise Iโll never get better 2. You need to do away with that old jacket, it smells and it has holes in it! Can you guess what โdo away withโ means? What do you need to do away with? Share below :)
Do you ever wonder if you go against the grain when it comes to your preferences? Why donโt you put your preferences to the test and play a game of Would you rather! Here is the link - https://www.bored.com/arcade/would-you-rather/ My results are below and for the most part I agree with the majority of people apart from one, but I think seeing many places would be better than a few places. What do you think? Post a picture of how you do after taking the quiz and we can debate :)
I always find it really interesting when people deny having an accent because they are native to a place. It happens a lot in the UK because we have thousands of accents. Normally, these accents are just 2-3 small phonetic differences that appear in many words. I'm in Croydon at the minute, one of the boroughs of London, which seems to have a strong connection to East London (it sounds a bit like cockney). Some people say you should learn English from London. I'm not sure if it really matters WHERE you learn it What do you think?
