Hello!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for a while and thought it was time to say Hi. I've been devouring Kylie's podcast and feel like I've gotten so much out of it, and looking forward to continuing that growth here.

I moonlight as a Handknitwear Designer - which is to say, I write and sell hand knitting patterns. It is a very saturated (and not very profitable) market. I let my business kind of go to sleep during the pandemic, as my full time/day job is teacher and it was all just a lot at the time. I recently decided I wanted to dust it off and revive my business, with more intention this time. My hope is that I can actually make a profitable side hustle, but I have misgivings and doubts every day.

I've slowly been working on some patterns - which takes a very long time. In the meantime, I've been trying to be pretty steady about my email list. I still had my email list from years ago, so I dusted it off and moved to Flodesk. I've been pretty regular in my monthly+ emails, and that feels like a much nicer pace than social media. I know I'm making so many mistakes, but you have to start somewhere and I know I'll keep growing.

I'm looking forward to connecting and learning in this space.
