What are emergencies that you feel prepared for?
Have you lived through a tornado, active shooter event, hurricane, earthquake, ever had to evacuate? Please share below.. I will start, I have lived through a hurricane, earthquakes, blackout, snow event, high winds event due to a tornado and have deployed to a combat zone in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I feel I could be better prepared with emergency supplies, stockpile of foods, I am currently working on stashing cash regularly and consistently and keeping my gas tank half full, bit by bit.

Stashing Cash prior to an emergency
In 2006 when I was stationed on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, I experienced my first earthquake. It was a 6.7 magnitude and the biggest aftereffect was a loss of power. It proved troublesome because we could not cook and neither could most restaurants, and the ones who could only were able to accept CASH! Today's Tip is create an emergency cash stash in the event of an emergency. Share any experiences you have had or have you considered the need for cash when emergency planning?
