Well...I'm back. ๐Ÿ’œ
The last couple of months have been...a lot, ya know?
There has been a broken hand, work deadlines, family health issues, middle-of-the-night phone calls, parenting adult kids through hard choices, trying to be present for my granddaughter, and all the ordinary chaos that somehow still has to happen in between. If you've ever looked around and wondered how one person can possibly wear this many hats, *we're probably speaking the same language.*
If you've been here for a while, you already know that my life isn't built around neat little routines. Some weeks I'm writing about boundaries and resilience. Other weeks I'm answering a phone call in the middle of the night, trying to help put out fires I never saw coming.
I realized something while I was away.
I kept waiting for life to calm down before showing up again. I kept thinking, "Once this settles down, I'll get back to writing." But I don't think that's how this works. For so many of us, there isn't a magical season where everything is finally stable and we suddenly have endless time, energy, and emotional bandwidth. There is just today, and whatever today happens to bring.
This community has never been about having it all figured out. It's about the messy middleโ€”the place where we're doing our best, loving our kids fiercely, celebrating tiny victories, grieving the hard days, and trying not to lose ourselves in the process.
That's where I am.
And maybe that's where you are, too.
So let's pick up where we left off. No guilt. No apologies. No pretending everything is fine.
I'd love to hear from you.
What's one thing you're carrying right now?
It could be a win you're celebrating, something that's keeping you up at night, or simply the thing that feels the heaviest this week.
Drop it in the comments. ๐Ÿ‘‡ This is still a place where you don't have to explain yourself first. ๐Ÿ’œ
