Edinburgh is a great place for interesting buildings and these two examples are ones I passed by not so long ago. The oldest is the old St Cuthberts CO-OP building in Fountainbridge which was built in the 1880s. Lovely old style often called Scottish vernacular including a crows staircase and somewhat unique cannon like projections. The site included a dairy which employed a young Sean Connery before his Bond days π. Now a Loudons cafe below not Scotmid. I walk past it on my way to the meadows. The other is a unique community housing development off Slateford built 1998-2000, looking rather nice in the winter sun. Visually interesting, you either love it or not. As far as I know no film stars involved but you never know. Great example of old and new which can be found all over Edinburgh π
