Oak galls, aka oak apples
Hey Y'all 🤗
It's such a pleasant morning here near Nashville. We got a good bit of rain yesterday and the temperature is my idea of perfect (45°F/65°F).👌
The sun woke me up right at 6am and I got to lay in bed for a bit. 😊 Then I made some 🧈coffee and slowly stepped outside, putting my still-warm-from-bed bare feet on the cool moist earth and breathing in deeply, I smelled flowers. 🥰 Ahhh...
Then I saw these Oak galls glowing with the dawning sun 😍 They're large, like 2 1/2 inches!
You may know about them being used for ink, but did you also know that their inner pith can be used to stop bleeding? Here's the link to that info,
