My experience with D&Y has been great so far. They have created a very welcoming community that helped me feel comfortable posting my videos dancing. On top of that, I am far away from any dance studios so D&Y has been one of the ways I get access to great classes (body movement & footwork are my current favorites) that I would otherwise not be able to access. The DY team has been kind and that has attracted like minded members which have kindly welcomed me when I travel to socials out of town

Even as a total beginner, I found the D&Y Salsa Academy to be an incredibly welcoming and unique online dance school. Diego and Yaritza, along with the rest of their absolutely talented teaching team offer a wealth of online classes and weekly live - via Zoom - instruction, as well as provide detailed, personal feedback to anyone who asks for guidance. All it takes is to post a short video of your choreo or moves to their community and they respond within the day. You will definitely improve!

What I love most about D&Y is the sheer variety — footwork, Afro-Cuban, lady style, for every level, and teachers who are truly exceptional. But what really sets this platform apart is that it doesn't feel like a library of videos sitting there — it feels alive, always new classes, tips & challenges to discover. Diego & Yaritza stay genuinely accessible, actually watching our videos and giving real, personal feedback that pushes us to improve. Seven months in, and it keeps moving me forward too!

I am so grateful to have found this platform. I don't have access to classes where I live so the ability to take them in my kitchen with a zoom screen as my mirror and watch the recordings of the live classes at a slower speed so I can articulate cleaner body movement has been SO helpful. I'm making more progress than I've ever made in person. It's obvious D&Y are passionate about the student's experience, always looking for ways to improve, keep us inspired, and are so responsive. The DY community is full of supportive and motivating people sharing their dance journey inspiring each other to keep improving. The selection of classes is great with lots of variety with world class teachers. Getting personalised feedback from Diego and Yaritza has been a game changer in my salsa journey transitioning to on2 and doing more challenging moves solidifying my foundations. Would recommend to anyone looking to improve and be part of a big salsa community from all round the world
