My Defense Testimony Before Christ, I was a completely different person. I was broken in ways I couldn’t explain. My life felt destroyed, and because of that pain, I was on a path that caused even more destruction. I carried wounds, anger, and emptiness that shaped how I lived. I didn’t know my worth, and I didn’t believe anything good could come from me. But the Word says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Even when I didn’t see Him, He was already reaching for me. When I surrendered my life to Christ, everything changed. I became saved. I became loved. I realized I am valued and worthy not because of who I was, but because of who God is. 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds me: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” He gave me a new identity, a new heart, and a new way of living. I was reborn with different values, a beautiful life, and a kindness I never had before. Today, God is my strength. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). He is my oxygen the very breath that keeps me moving forward. “For in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). He is my truth when the enemy tries to lie to me. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). He is my Alpha and Omega, the One who began my story and the One who will perfect it. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end” (Revelation 22:13). My hope is anchored in Him because He took a broken, lost person and rewrote my future. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews 6:19). And today, I trust Him with everything in me my life, my decisions, my healing, my path. Proverbs 3:5–6 declares: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” This scripture is not just a verse to me it is the way I live. God directs my steps because I surrender them back to Him.
