Hey — in your hemoglobin A1c video you say we should be under 5.0%, and that the 5.7% cutoff is arbitrary. Mine was 4.9% on my last panel, but it bounces: 5.1% in April, 4.8% in December, 5.2% a couple of years ago. Fasting glucose 82, fasting insulin 3.7.
Is there a number where you'd say someone is drifting and should act?
When someone is in that 5.0–5.2% range with good fasting glucose and insulin, what do you actually do about it?
