Pre-Game Speech - Softball

One of my best:

I am a Badass! I know my role on this team and I can easily fill it. I am here today, not to catch every ball, and to throw out every would-be base steeler. I am not here to hit every pitch out of the park.

Today, I am here to get a little better at reading the ball off the bat. I am here to make better decisions in the field. I am here today to get a little better and executing the decisions I make, and to execute the decisions just a little faster.

Today, I am here, not to hit every pitch, but to see more pitches, to get a little better at recognizing the pitches I like to hit, and leaving the pitches I don't like alone. I have already taken 1,000's of swings and know what to do, I am just here to get a little better at it. I am here to hit the pitches I swing at, just a little harder every time I swing at them.

Today, I am here to get a little faster, play a little harder, and have a little more fun! This is my part, and what happens will happen, and I'm ok with that, as long as I get a little better, see a few more pitches, catch a few more balls, and have a little more fun!
