A quick note on mycotoxins (mold toxins)
There’s a category of stress on the body that almost no one talks about, but it quietly affects a lot of people: chronic mycotoxin exposure. Mycotoxins are toxins made by certain molds. They tend to show up in foods like grains, rice, nuts, and stored foods when conditions are right (humidity, heat, storage time). Globally, it’s estimated that about 25% of the food supply has some level of mold contamination. This isn’t about getting “poisoned.” It’s about small, repeated exposures over time. Research shows that chronic exposure can: - Increase oxidative stress - Interfere with normal cell repair - Suppress the immune system - Create DNA damage over time Not everyone reacts the same way. If someone already has gut issues, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, or immune stress, these exposures hit harder. That’s why two people can eat the same foods and feel very different. This is also why we talk so much about food quality, fiber, cruciferous vegetables, and supporting detox pathways. You’re not trying to eliminate every toxin — you’re trying to make your body more resilient. 🟢 Simple mindset shift: Be aware, reduce exposure, detox mycotoxins regularly because you cannot avoid everything.
