Surreal Moment
About a week ago, I turned off all notifications on my desktop, as well as the phone (which is usually on vibrate only). And, I've not yet turned them back on . . . really enjoying the silence . . . and the meditations have been different, in a good way.
Anyway, Sunday morning, we took the cat out for a roll in the grass (we are on a main road, so he never goes out alone). He likes to walk/jog between us, and then randomly stop right in front of you! LOL I have great balance in part thanks to him! LOL
My surreal moment was when I reached down to pet him, it was as though I was looking through someone else's eyes at the hand reaching for the "more than 3D" kitty in front of me -- sort of the way things look through 3D glasses they give you at the movie theater. I then noticed the sounds as if they were coming on a separate sound track . . . if that makes sense.
I stayed there for a good 30 seconds or so.
It was super cool, everything appeared very 'defined' (for lack of a better word) . . . 'crisp', maybe?
The thing is, I was diagnosed as legally blind some five years ago (no vision in right eye, and about 10% in the left eye, which makes 3D glasses ineffective for me), and subsequently, have not had a 'crisp' view of anything in quite some time. I've not experience anything like this before, at least, not that I consciously remember at this moment.
Anyone ever have that kind of experience?
