[TOMORROW] Want to actually get some dog training done?
That “perfect moment” to train can be tough to find... always on the to-do list, yet never quite happening. But if we do it together, it can be more fun and... actually get done! So we will make it happen with a: 🐾 Train Together Session Tomorrow at 10:00 am ET (Free) Here’s how it works: ✅ Join me on Zoom at 10:00 am Eastern (9:00 am Central Time, 7:00 am Pacific Time) (on the calendar too) ✅ Bring your own training plan (one small skill you want to practice is enough) ✅ We'll start by checking in so everyone knows what they’re working on ✅ Go off camera and/or mute to train ✅ Every 15 minutes, we meet back to share wins, adjust, or get encouragement You can stay for all three 15-minute rounds or just do one if that’s all the time you have.Either way, you’re getting real training done. Here are some suggestions of what you could work on: 🦴 Leash manners 🦴 Self-control 🦴 Coming when called 🦴 Rally or other sports-related skills 🦴 Or any behavior your dog needs help with And I'll be happy to give advice as needed. LINK to join me at 10:00 am (also on the calendar): https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88132881733?pwd=hvM57itQgYIQ26bBH0D18PM9U29pO5.1 What to bring: - Your dog - High-value treats and/or their favorite toy - A plan to work on (I can help if you aren't sure) You'll get support and shared progress! What's better than that? 😊🐕 Let me know if you have questions! See you tomorrow at 10! 🐕 If your dog has been “a lot” this week, this can help and be a perfect reset. Even one 15-minute session can make a huge difference.
JUMPING!!! What can you do?
@Kelly Soirefman I have two videos I'll add here that will help you in two ways. One will help you "in the moment" with your own dog or someone else's dog. It explains what to do when you can't prevent the jumping. The second video tells you how to help train your dog not to jump and increase your dog's self-control. Here are a few more notes on jumping: 🐕 Prevention is key because anytime the behavior is repeated, it is reinforced and becomes harder to change. Jumping as a greeting can become automatic and you know from your own habits, that that is a stronger neuological path that takes time to change. So prevent and avoid whenever you can. 🐕 When you come home or when your dog might jump, have your hands free and have something handy for use to prevent jumping, like treats or a toy. So put the bags down and make a second trip once your dog has greeted you and is calm. 🐕 How can you prevent jumping? For yourself, enter the room with treats or a toy to toss and then when your dog starts to come back to you, you can look them in the eye and ask for an alternative behavior like a sit or throw the toy again. 🐕 If it happens when you get home and enter the house, you can keep your dog in a crate or behind a gate to prevent jumping. 🐕 If you are concerned about friends and family, you can use a leash and/or again, a crate or a gate to keep your dog from jumping.

Rally Videos Signs #1-6
For now, I’m going to put these videos in the comments here but I will also put them in the classroom tab soon. Have to leave for agility class so more tomorrow!
Rally Time!
Just a little intro to what is next. I’ll put videos in here, but I’m going to also put them in the classroom so it will be easier to find them. The next videos are broken up into very short ones and they just seem easy, but that’s a good thing, right? 😁
