There was a time when anxiety and agoraphobia completely controlled my life.
I was declared disabled, struggled to leave my house and believed I might never feel normal again. Even walking outside, travelling or going to the gym felt impossible.
Anxiety and agoraphobia were also part of my family story.
My mum suffered too. She lived through wartime and remembered fleeing soldiers while gunfire surrounded her.
I cannot say exactly what caused our struggles, but it made me think about family history, trauma, environment and how fear affects the nervous system.
In this video, I share what helped me rebuild my life, including therapy, gradual exposure, meditation, exercise, healthier routines, improving my physical health and getting my thyroid and hormones assessed.
Your journey may be different, but your current situation does not have to be permanent.
This is my experience, not medical advice. Do not change prescribed medication without speaking to a healthcare professional.
