💡 What We Know So Far About Xero’s New Auto-Reconcile (JAX)
Xero’s new automatic bank reconciliation — powered by JAX — is now rolling out, and here’s what’s clear from their latest updates:
✔️ You have to turn automation on for each bank accountIt’s not automatic by default. You choose which accounts JAX is allowed to help with.
✔️ JAX will auto-reconcile transactions only when it has “high confidence”This means it won’t guess. It only matches when the system is sure.
✔️ You still have full visibility and controlYou can review, adjust, override, or switch off automation at any time.
✔️ A new “Reconciled” view will show what JAX has processedSo you can easily see what’s been automatically matched behind the scenes.
🔍 Bottom line
Xero/JAX can auto-reconcile future transactions — but only if:1️⃣ You’ve turned it on for that bank account, and2️⃣ JAX is confident the match is correct.
It’s smart, it’s helpful… but it still needs your oversight.
