Geek note: Separate AI Computer (Mac Users)
OK...first...this is a geeky thing and I wasn't quite sure if/where to post it.
Somewhere it was mentioned that using Claude (and Manus) desktop used less "tokens/money" than their web counter parts and that is how I went down this rabbit hole.
I don't really like installing apps/programs that are meant for development on my primary machine for fear that something could really get screwy.
One way to get around it is to have a 2nd machine but that's costly. The next best thing is a "virtual" machine. It's not physical but for those that live in the geekier side of life, you may have heard of a virtual machine. See quick demo here: https://www.loom.com/share/992b7880094a45d6870710f8c66ae667
So, I stumbled upon UTM (FREE) https://mac.getutm.app/. You need eough memory and physical space on your exisitng mac (or an external drive). It allows you to install/run this on your mac and create a "virtual" Mac computer!!! You can install any app on it (that works in VM's) and. keep it separate from your primary machine. I hope this helps.
