Gemini Drops File Creation Inside Chat

Google Gemini just added the ability to generate downloadable files during any conversation. You ask for a content calendar spreadsheet, a client-facing PDF, a formatted Word doc ~ it builds it and hands it back to you. Supports XLSX, PDF, DOCX, and CSV. Download immediately or save it to your workspace.

No extra apps. No copy-paste. The output stays in the conversation.

It's rolling out now. Complex layouts may need a little cleanup after export, but for most everyday creator tasks ~ this works right now.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂: Every time you leave AI to open another app, you lose momentum. This plugs that leak. If you're already in Gemini working on something ~ your document now comes OUT of that conversation. Less switching. More shipping.

And low-key? This is the bigger game to watch. Claude is connecting to Photoshop and Ableton. Gemini is making your files. ChatGPT has its own suite. Every AI is racing to become the only tool you need. The next battle isn't who's smartest ~ it's who you never have to leave.
