Stop learning in a loop
On a recent call I was speaking to one of my mentees.
He is good at his subject but stuck in the learning loop.
He is learning from courses, books, YouTube and various places.
He is even learning from me.
Even after learning so much - when I ask in weekly accountability calls for the actions done - they are only one or two.
Last week during the accountability call - I asked him to create 1 min of short content on his topic. I taught him live. He recorded one. He was overjoyed.
I asked him “what he would do for the next 7 days?”
He was super happy to say he will do the same.
Then the next day there was small group training to create an ebook.
I was expecting these two in the week's accountability call but both were missing.
It is not his story.
It is your and mine story.
The missing link here is “deadline”.
“Clarity + a deadline beats talent without a system.”
When I did my landmark Introductory Leaders programme - The game I played was “delare and play”.
Iincreasing the power of declaration and making it happen.
“I would declare first and then work towards it.” At times I asked “what if I am unable to do?”
I want to play the game “Undercommit over deliver”
I was playing all mind games but the game was to declare and play.
When I played declare and play game - I won may not big but won.
Otherwise I was stuck in the loop.

Most professionals I speak with have the knowledge. They don’t have the system. So they keep “learning” and never finish anything.
Here’s the easy framework we gave the cohort:
Declare a clear, small deliverable (e.g., 1 eBook, 1 post on x / linkedin / meta).
Block daily focus time — treat it like a meeting, not a hope.
Ship 1 piece per day (1 reel → 7 reels in a week).
Plug into a simple funnel (landing page → traffic → test).
If you finish the work, the market will tell you whether it’s valuable. If you don’t finish, you’ll never know.
