Community Investment Summit 2025 (Prague)
Hey brothers and sisters!
I'm excited to announce that we are organizing the first Community Investment Summit 2025 . This event won't focus on building your dream community but will delve into pre- and post-acquisition processes, valuation, and real-life examples of investments and Community M&A transactions in our growing market.
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Tentative Date: September 2025
As speakers, I would like to invite:
- Someone from AngelList who was involved in the acquisition of ProductHunt
- Someone from Stripe who participated in the acquisition of Indie Hackers
- Someone from Bevy who was part of the acquisition of the CMX community
- Someone from Higher Logic who was involved in the acquisition of Vanilla
- Someone from Salesforce who was part of the acquisition of Slack
- Someone from Gainsight who was involved in the acquisition of inSided
- Someone from Commsor who was part of the acquisition of AhoyConnect
- Someone from Bending Spoons who was involved in the acquisition of Meetup.
These individuals will share their reasons for acquiring these community platforms or communities and whether the investments paid off.
Additionally, I would like to invite representatives from the acquired companies or communities to share why they sold their platforms or communities, if they would do it again, and their perspective on post-acquisition operations.
We will also feature founders of young (max. 3 years old) community platforms awaiting their first investment and provide a platform for communities like Guild, which struggled to find the right investment match.
Our summit attendees will not be community managers but VC/PE firm owners, philanthropists, investors, multipreneurs with at least one exit experience, and startup founders post-Series A and above who are looking to scale faster through the acquisition of existing communities, community platforms, or community management tools.
Please share your initial thoughts, speaker recommendations, and any offers to participate in the summit publicly in the comments. I would like to maintain transparent communication at first, and then we can discuss individually through messages or connect on LinkedIn.
