I came across a comment today from another business owner that really resonated with me and I thought it was worth sharing here 👇
“I’ve learned that success comes down to finding those special few people who truly align with your vision and company values—then creating an environment where they feel valued and want to stay. It’s about making it more than just a job for them.”
Paul shared how he turned things around after a rough patch by:
1️⃣ Bringing in a counsellor to support his team and give them a safe space to work through personal and work-related issues.
2️⃣ Holding a self-reflection session, where each team member scored themselves against the company values. It sparked some big realisations and accountability.
It really reminded me that sometimes the hardest seasons of leadership are the ones that grow us the most — both as business owners and as people. 🌱
So with all that in mind, this brings me to my……
👉 💥 Action of the day:
Reflect on your current team (or even yourself if you’re still solo!) and ask:
  • Do they truly align with my company values?
  • What can I do to make this “more than just a job” for them?
I’m going to send a a staff questionnaire today to try to evaluate the situation in my team.
