Roadside Chapel
May every woman who finds this doorway
feel her shoulders lower
before she reads a single word.
May the quiet here speak louder than striving.
May Scripture feel near, not distant.
May calling rise gently, without fear.
And for those who have been walking this path a long while
—tending, carrying, giving, staying—
may this roadside chapel
become a place to rest.
A place to set down what is heavy.
A place to be cared for, not only to care.
A place where the God who sees
meets them again with tenderness.
And may this little chapel on the roadside
become a place where many women
first discover that God has been walking with them
all along.
Amen.
