After 35 years in pain management, physical therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture, I've learned something crucial: consistency is the key component to getting the results we all want.
But here's what's interesting—we're all consistent with something in our lives.
For me, I'm incredibly consistent with patient care, my exercises, and documentation. I've trained myself for 35 years to show up in those areas without fail.
But outside that? I struggle just like everyone else. Getting this program together, staying consistent with engagement, doing video work—these things are outside my normal comfort zone. I haven't spent decades training myself to be consistent in these areas, so it doesn't come naturally.
And that's exactly my point.
I don't always expect my patients or the people in this community to be perfectly consistent either. What I'm asking you to do—the exercises, the stretches, the daily habits—these are outside your comfort zone too. You haven't trained yourself for years to do these things automatically.
That's completely normal.
But here's why this community exists: to provide encouragement and accountability for each other as we work to end the pain you're going through right now.
We're all learning consistency in new areas together. Some days will be easier than others. The goal isn't perfection—it's progress.
Just a word of encouragement today: keep showing up, even when it's hard. That's where the real change happens.
