Wise as Serpents - Gentle as Doves
Mt 10:6 Be wise as serpents Gentle (harmless) as doves. I reside on the edge of a lake and am so blessed to see so many birds like hawks, sandhills, ducks and others. I also have gotten visited by snakes…yeah, not my favorite animal by a long shot. I do tho get that every visitor is a divine interaction. For me, personally, it was a warning that I had “snakes” in my midst and to use my discernment while protecting myself. Every time I have seen a snake, (thank God it’s only been 3x’s lol) shortly after it’s confirmed to me why I was to be “wise as a serpent” and continue to be “harmless as a dove”. We can walk in our Spirituality with kindness and compassion and still be fiery and strong with our boundaries. Here are a few ways I stay wise as a serpent 1. I lay low and pull back my energy -> Observe don’t Absorb 2. Move in Silence -> Any projects or anything your working towards keep it hush 3. Always wear your spiritual armor and ask Angels for protection (btw - these steps need to be done daily but during a warning sign 🐍 its amped up) Here are a few ways I stay gentle as a dove 1. Make the intention to embody and embrace love from your alone time with Source -> this guards against moving with the energy of revenge or anger. 2. Alchemize and transmute to them only what you want coming back to you and then cut off that tie or bond. -> keeps your side of the street clean. 3. Find something you can do in that moment to give out…whether it be energetically sending out vibes, or encouraging someone on social media, or even doing something kind for someone. -> this focuses on purpose and uplifts the frequency - takes what was meant for evil…turns it to good. Like making lemonade out of lemons. It’s a win-win. ✨🫶🏽☀️

Navigating Toxic Family Members During the Holidays
✨How are YOU doing it this year? This topic is trending after Oprah’s “No Contact” podcast episode — people are finally realizing that ghosting toxic relatives during the holidays isn’t disrespect…it’s self-protection. The holidays can be beautiful — but they can also be heavy, triggering, or downright unsafe if you come from dysfunction, emotional neglect, or spiritual suppression. For many of us, walking into certain family spaces feels like stepping back into an old version of ourselves we’ve already outgrown. I get it. I lived it. I was the literal Black sheep of my family — me and my twin brother were adopted by a strict, conservative, narcissistic, religious white family in upstate New York. I know what it’s like to be left out of plans, misrepresented, the center of gossip, or spiritually policed. And as a Spiritualist, you don’t always need to be in the room to feel what’s being said behind closed doors. IYKYK. 😉 Because of all that, I’ve limited contact with my adopted family. And honestly? It’s been one of the most peaceful decisions I’ve ever made. If you’re navigating something similar this holiday season, here are a few grounded, real suggestions to protect your peace: 1. Don’t Go. Sometimes the most spiritually aligned action is absence — not out of spite, but out of self-care, safety, and sanity. If being around certain people drains you, destabilizes you, or reactivates trauma, staying home is not avoidance… it’s healing. You’re allowed to create new traditions that honor the person you’ve become. 2. Limit Interactions. If you do go, give yourself a time limit. A boundary. A plan. ✔ “I can stay for one hour.” ✔ “I’ll leave by 6.” ✔ “No overnight visits.” When my kids were little, this saved us. We had grandparents on both sides and it always felt obligatory. So we had an “escape plan” every holiday — and honestly, it kept the peace. 🤣 You are not obligated to sit in dysfunction just because it’s December. 3. If You’re Going, Show Up Spiritually Protected.
