Yesterday's Decoding Data Science session was another reminder that building AI starts with solving the right problem—not just using AI because it's available. One of my biggest takeaways was learning how to identify the right AI solution: ✅ Automation for repetitive tasks ✅ LLMs for understanding and generating unstructured content ✅ RAG when knowledge retrieval is the challenge ✅ AI Agents for multi-step workflows and decision-making I also learnt about the 6-Layer AI Application Stack, which provides a practical roadmap for building AI applications: 1️⃣ Problem & Use Case 2️⃣ Data Layer 3️⃣ Intelligence Layer 4️⃣ Workflow Layer 5️⃣ Interface Layer 6️⃣ Evaluation Layer This session helped me understand that great AI products are built by carefully designing every layer—not by simply connecting to an LLM. Every session continues to strengthen my understanding of AI engineering and how to build solutions that solve real-world problems. This week has been all about building and learning. I officially joined the Agentic AI Demo Challenge and started working on Forsa, an AI-powered recruitment platform. Along the way, I learned that building a real AI product is much more than prompting—it’s about solving real problems, designing good user experiences, and continuously improving through feedback. Over the next month, my focus is to: - Complete and refine Forsa. - Strengthen my AI application development skills. - Share my progress publicly and learn from the DDS community. Grateful to be part of this amazing community. Looking forward to what’s next.

Three days, countless learning moments, and one fully functional AI application later! 🚀 I’m excited to have completed the Decoding Data Science Accelerated AI Bootcamp, where I built an HR chatbot from scratch using LlamaIndex, OpenAI GPT-4o mini, Pinecone, and Gradio. It was an incredible hands-on experience that reinforced the importance of learning by building. Today I joined the Beyond Prompting: Find Your Place in the AI Economy career talk by Decoding Data Science. It was a valuable session that gave me a better understanding of AI career paths and what skills I should focus on developing as I continue my learning journey. The highlight of the event was the Kahoot at the end, and I'm excited to share that I won 🥇 1st place! 🏆🎉 It was a fun way to wrap up such an insightful session.
