Welcome to the start of something great! I am Deborah H. Sager. I am in my 69th year of life, which itself is a miracle, since I was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease (Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency) in 1994 and given five years to live. Thanks be to God, here I am 32 years later! After a serious attack of COVID-19 in March 2021, I had to resign from my position as a Substance Abuse Counselor in July 2021. I felt lost and purposeless. At the height of those toxic emotions, I was given Any Way You Can and gifted Dr. Boz's Course by a Church Sister, and the rest is history. I weighed 174lbs when I started on October 22, 2021, very weary and very wilted. Although my "Why" was healing in my lungs, and still is, a fringe benefit of Keto, was shedding 50+lbs maintaining around 120lbs (I weighed that in 3rd grade) gor the past four years! I continue to work on my strengths and weaknesses with God's help, devotion time with my husband, and Keto Support Groups, every day. My mind is alert and my heart receptive to continued learning, teaching, and feedback. I have been through Dr. Boz's Consistently Keto, 21 Day Metabolic Kick and Brains Course twice (once in Pella, IA), and I've taught it once. The highest weight I have seen on a scale is 284 lbs, and I have lost and gained over 130lbs five different times in my life, since the age of 15 when I went on my first crash diet, going from 274lbs to 170lbs in five months...very unhealthy. I know this struggle...I got the T-shirt, and it is way too big now!!! I am celebrating life in recovery from drugs/alcohol (32 years), cigarettes, and a few other addictions (31 years) and food (5 years). I served in the United States Navy for four years as a Storekeeper, worked in many Customer Service Positions until becoming a Substance Abuse Counselor ten years after I got sober. I turned my life over to the Lord on September 16, 1998! God blessed me with a Hunka Hunka hubby, Ron, in 2007 (both of us are KetoBozonians), and I graduated from college at 53 years old! We each have one adult son, not at home, and three Furbabies at home, my precious Service Dog, Tina, passed on August 8, 2025, I am still mourning her physical empty space, but grateful for our 13 years together and scattered her ashes at our Church on the one year date. I feel honored and blessed to be a Coach for Dr. Boz again, this is number nine! I live in the light and permit you to ask me anything; I have been given this life to share it with others...the good, better, best, bad, and ugly (you'll find no perfect here)! I brought my skeletons out of the closet and taught them to dance! What you share with me, in confidence, will stay with me...I am a vault! I look forward to getting to know you all, as a group and individually, and I vow to help you in any way I can! HOPE~Helping Other People Excel!!!
