Subscription vs API Credits

I’m trying to decide the smartest way to access Claude Code.

Would you recommend paying for the monthly Claude subscription to get Claude Code included, or is it better to just load API credits and use it that way?

I’m mainly using it for coding and automation workflows, so I’m trying to understand which option gives better value long term — especially in terms of cost, flexibility, and usage limits.
