Coding music
Regarding the music coding language, we discussed during 2/18 Call:
"Switch Angel uses Strudel, which is a JavaScript-based port of TidalCycles — a live-coding language for algorithmic music generation. Strudel is a JavaScript port of TidalCycles, an algorithmic music generator that supports live coding, where the music changes on-the-fly as you manipulate the code. Hackaday Switch Angel (Jade) is also a core contributor and maintainer of the Strudel platform itself. WebExpo
The original TidalCycles is written in Haskell, but Strudel brings that same pattern-based approach to the browser using JavaScript, making it much more accessible. You can try it yourself at strudel.cc."
I provided Strudel's reference to Claude (Opus 4.6 with extended thinking) as context and asked it to recreate a well-known piece in Strudel (well, at least in my bubble, it is well-known 😅). The link is quite long because the whole code is encoded/stored in it: Link (you have to hit play; also music without visualization, because they seem to bug out on smartphones)
