Use of voiceflow/botpress or python coding?

Dear community, I have played with Voiceflow app now a bit making simple recommendation assistant. Nice tool, but I am starting to feel, coding with Python might be better since then at least I know all the syntax instead of trying to learn Voiceflow syntax and all settings in there. How do you create apps, do you use some workflow tools or just coding via Python?
