What are some high impact ways of using AI for doing good: contributing to solving the world's most pressing problems like (potential) pandemics and climate change?

What about researching AI and its safety? How could I get into that field?

What about (possibilities of ) bioinformatics?

And do you know how AI could impact other scientific research like chemistry and physics? Is it true that research scientist of pretty much all fields will be increasingly relying on data science and AI, and barely doing any "hands-on" work? Could it be a huge advantage then to have skills in computer science, data science and AI?
