Hi Teacher John
In judges 11, it says that Jepheta said that if he defeated the Amonites he’d sacrifice to God the first thing he saw when he got home. He defeated the Amonites, but when he got home the first thing he saw was his only daughter. Then Jepheta told her that he’d said that if he defeated the Amonites he’d sacrifice to God the first thing he saw when he got home. Then his daughter told him to let her go to a mountain with her companions to weep because she’d never marry. Does it mean Jepheta sacrificed her on an altar when she hadn’t married yet or was it that she just never’ll get married, and she’ll still live on?
Thank you
